Does sound therapy do anything?
Apparently so. More and more studies are coming out with evidence for positive responses to receiving sound vibrations. Does this mean you better buy a concert ticket to cure cancer? Well, maybe it's not that simple but it is impressive what sound healing is doing in the research studies by credible organizations. The 2020 study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health investigated the effects of sound therapy on the immune system and inflammation in patients with autoimmune diseases. The study involved 20 patients with autoimmune diseases, who received sound therapy for 30 minutes, three times a week, for a period of 12 weeks. The results of the study showed that sound therapy was effective in modulating the immune system by increasing the levels of certain immune cells, such as natural killer cells and T cells, and decreasing the levels of inflammatory markers, such as C-reactive protein and interleukin-6. The study also found that sound therapy was well-tolerated by the patients and had no adverse effects. These findings suggest that sound therapy may have potential as a complementary therapy for autoimmune diseases by modulating the immune system and reducing inflammation. However, further research is needed to confirm these findings and to better understand the mechanisms of action of sound therapy on the immune system. This study looks into the effects of gamma wave sound therapy in individuals with symptoms of dementia. ***update coming soon
